Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga is a seinen action anime TV series with a historical setting. This riveting tale spans over two seasons so far, with each season narrating the contrast in Thorfinn’s principles. The protagonist, Thorfinn, grew up dreaming of a peaceful land, Vinland.
However, with his father’s death driving him to seek vengeance, Thorfinn temporarily throws away the fantasy of Vinland while he gets involved in intense training as a mercenary. He has one objective: to kill Askeladd.

With Kenshin’s help, Kaoru embarks on a journey to wield back her father’s dojo. Though Kaoru learns Kenshin’s reality as a previous assassin, she empathizes with his resolve to seek atonement. Onimusha
With only 8 episodes, Netflix’s Onimusha is a historical fantasy series, based on Capcom’s video game franchise. Takashi Miike, along with Shin’ya Sugai, directed the show at Sublimation Studio and it was available to stream on November 2, 2023.
The mini-series is set in Japan’s Edo era when the country looked forward to a time of restoration from war. Though the war camouflaged into the past, the protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi continues to remain in combat mode.
As such, he sets off on a mission to kill the demons that hide in the shadows. With this motive, Musashi wields a mythical weapon called the “Oni Gauntlet” that helps the samurai on his secret mission.
Samurai Champloo
Samurai Champloo aired in the Spring of 2004 in two parts. This is another anime like Ninja Kamui that features epic action and revolves around the storyline of Japanese Samurai.
This anime TV series too is set in the Edo period and follows the adventures of three peculiar characters as they venture together to find a samurai who smells like sunflowers. The trio involves Fuu Kasumi accompanied by two samurai, Mugen and Jin.
Mugen and Jin meet due to Fuu, but they start on the wrong foot. Fuu keeps them from killing each other on the journey as they unwillingly accompany the mutual companion.
