“It’s been fantastic to see Mr Inbetween embraced by fans and critics. The exciting, offbeat and fast-moving first season is defined by the magnetic performance and creative vision of Scott Ryan and director Nash Edgerton,” said Eric Schrier, president original programming at FX Networks and FX Productions. “Our thanks to Nash and Scott, our partners at Foxtel, fellow executive producer Jason Burrows, producer Michele Bennett, and the great cast and crew. We can’t wait to return to Ray’s world in season two of Mr Inbetween.”

The half-hour drama is created by and stars Scott Ryan as Ray Shoesmith, reprising his role from the 2005 film The Magician, a criminal for hire who is struggling to balance his roles as a father, boyfriend, ex-husband and friend. Ryan is joined by Damon Merriman (Justified), Justin Rosniak, Brooke Satchwell, Jackson Tozer, Nicholas Cassim, Chika Yasumura and Matt Nable.

The series has received very positive reviews from both critics and audiences, currently maintaining an 87% from critics on review aggregate Rotten Tomatoes, and has performed decently in the ratings in its time slot after the Sons of Anarchy spin-off, Mayans MC.

The first season finale airs tonight, and the rest of the season can be viewed on FX Now and FX On Demand.
