Sarah Chalke to Lead Netflix Adult Animated Comedy Paradise, P.D.

Netflix (via EW) has announced a 10-episode, straight-to-series order for Paradise, P.D., starring Sarah Chalke (Rick and Morty) in the lead in the new adult animated comedy. Paradise, P.D. was created by Waco O’Guin and Roger Black, the minds behind Comedy Central’s animated series Brickleberry. The series description is as follows:

“They’re bad cops. Not bad like no-nonsense. Not bad like cool. Bad like shitty. Paradise P.D.: They’re the worst responders. From the creators of Brickleberry comes this take on a small-town police department.”

The group image above showcases the characters in the new comedy series, and the voice cast (left to right in the picture) joining Chalke are Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) as Stanley Hopson, Cedric Yarbrough (Speechless) as Gerald Fitzgerald, Dave Herman (Bob’s Burgers) as Kevin Crawford, Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) as Chief Randall Crawford, Chalke as Gina Jabowski, Kyle Kinane (The Standups) as Bullet the dog, and Dana Snyder (Squidbillies) as Dusty Marlow.

The show will be joining Netflix’s slate of adult animated series that includes Big Mouth, BoJack Horseman, and the recently-announced Tuca & Bertie starring Tiffany Haddish. Paradise, P.D. will premiere later this year on the streaming site. O’Guin and Black will serve as executive producers alongside producers Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment and Bento Box Animation for Netflix.
