Chris Pine sure does like space, huh?
It’s already been Justice League in 2017 before their own franchise kicks off in 2020.
Interestingly enough, it seems as if there’s still confusion over how Chris Pine was approached for the role. Initial rumors suggested WB was using the Wonder Woman as a smokescreen to approach Pine about Green Lantern. However, Faraci believes he was offered both roles and is currently deciding which to take.
Obviously, it’s hard to pass up the opportunity to star in your own superhero franchise, as opposed to the romantic lead in the Wonder Woman film. You have to wonder if his experience in the rebooted Star Trek franchise is making him think twice about taking on another franchise.
Today marks the beginning of San Diego Comic-Con, and we can hope to get some sort of confirmation at the Warner Bros. panel scheduled for the weekend.
