Lars von Trier’s ‘Nymphomaniac’ Gets a Release Date and Two New Posters

Lars von Trier‘s Nymphomaniac will be broken up into two parts for its U.S. release, both expected to run approximately two hours long. Nymphomaniac: Part I will open in theaters on March 21, 2014, and be available On Demand as of March 6, 2014 and will introduce us to the story of Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg), a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac who is discovered badly beaten in an alley by an older bachelor, Seligman (Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd), who takes her into his home. As he tends to her wounds, she recounts the erotic story of her adolescence and young-adulthood (portrayed in flashback by Stacy Martin).

This first part also stars Shia LaBeouf, Christian Slater, Uma Thurman, Sophie Kennedy Clark, Connie Nielsen and Udo Kier.

Part II will open in theaters on April 18, 2014 and be available On Demand as of April 3, 2014 and picks up with the story of Joe’s adulthood, and stars Jamie Bell, Willem Dafoe, Mia Goth and Jean-Marc Barr as well as Gainsbourg, SkarsgÃ¥rd, Martin and LaBeouf.

Today the studio also released two new posters, one for each part, which are included below. If you missed the previously released, explicit red band trailer I have included it above, but do remember it is not safe for work environments.
