I know a few of these pictures have been scuttling around the Internet before now, but I had never featured any of them so as far as I’m concerned they are all new and they are all high quality looks at four films that will be featured at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.
Included is one new look at Robert Pattinson in David Cronenberg‘s Cosmopolis (a film I’m regrettably going to miss as it screens the day after I leave France), looks at Richard Jenkins and James Gandolfini in Killing Them Softly, a trio of images from The Paperboy including the fierce looking pic of Nicole Kidman above and a pair of images from Michael Haneke‘s Amour.

Amour
Georges and Anne are in their eighties. They are cultivated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, who is also a musician, lives abroad with her family. One day, Anne has an attack. The couple’s bond of love is severely tested.
Killing Them Softly
Adapted from George V. Higgins novel and set in New Orleans, Cogan’s Trade follows professional enforcer, Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who investigates a heist that occurs during a high stakes, mob-protected, poker game. The film also features Scoot McNairy (Monsters), Ben Mendelsohn (Animal Kingdom), Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins (The Visitor), with James Gandolfini, Vincent Curatola, Max Casella, Sam Shepard and Bella Heathcote among others.
Cosmopolis
Cosmopolis is based on the novel by Don DeLillo, and follows newly married billionaire Eric Packer (Pattinson) as he cheats on his wife, is pursued by a stalker (Paul Giamatti), gets attacked by a protester and gradually loses his entire fortune over the course of a single day.
The Paperboy
A directionless young man helps his reporter brother investigate the possible wrongful conviction of a man on death row, and in the process, falls for the woman whom the convict has been romancing through prison correspondence.
