For director James Wan I am not sure how hard it was to break out of the horror genre after the success of Saw, but I am glad he did because I think there is some talent here and while Dead Silence didn’t put much of it on display I think Death Sentence is going to prove that this guy not only has the balls to put whatever he wants on screen, he is the ability to do it effectively.
