Barry Sonnenfeld is taking on a bit of action and adventure with the supernatural feature The Box for 20th Century Fox, a contemporary take on the myth of Pandora’s box penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos. Say that last name three times fast!
The story will center on a college grad with an uncertain future who is tricked into opening the mythical box, unwittingly unleashing the evils trapped within. He then must team with Pandora to save the world from destruction.
The picture is described as a summer event and is apparently being fast-tracked by Fox. Sounds to me like we will hear about casting soon and they may try to get it in theaters for summer 2008.
