The awaited Blade Runner 2099 trailer is out, featuring Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer. They headline the upcoming TV series, directly connected to the iconic sci-fi franchise that began with Ridley Scott‘s 1982 film Blade Runner.
The show’s official synopsis reads, “In Los Angeles 2099, Olwen, a veteran Blade Runner days from dying, partners with a mysterious new recruit, Cora, to investigate a widening conspiracy that stretches back to the city’s darkest original sins.”

What do we see in the Blade Runner 2099 trailer?
The Blade Runner 2099 trailer shows Hunter Schafer as a human and the next Blade Runner, Cora. While she opposes the growing dominance of replicants, her character ends up pairing with a replicant, Olwen, played by Michelle Yeoh.
“The old world forever fights to come back, humans want what was taken from them,” says Yeoh’s Olwen in the trailer. “But it’s our time now.” The official trailer was initially unveiled during the Blade Runner 2099 Hall H panel at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con before making its way online. The trailer follows the release of the show’s first-look footage, which debuted a day earlier.
The upcoming series will take place 50 years after the events of Denis Villeneuve’s 2017 movie Blade Runner 2049.
Besides Yeoh and Schafer, the upcoming TV show also includes series regulars such as Dimitri Abold (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Lewis Gribben (Somewhere Boy).
Guest stars include Katelyn Rose Downey (The Nun II), Daniel Rigby (Renegade Nell), Johnny Harris (A Gentleman in Moscow), Amy Lennox (Only Child), Sheila Atim (The Woman King), Matthew Needham (House of the Dragon), Tom Burke (Furiosa), and Maurizio Lombardi (Ripley).
Silka Luisa is serving as the showrunner and executive producer alongside Ridley Scott, Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. Ben Roberts, David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger, and Jonathan van Tulleken are also executive producing.
Blade Runner 2099, from Amazon MGM Studios and Alcon Television Group, will premiere with all eight episodes on November 25, 2026, on Prime Video.
