Watch James Wan’s Billion-Dollar Horror Franchise Before It Leaves Netflix

James Wan is one of Hollywood’s biggest horror directors today. His films remain highly acclaimed and fan favorites worldwide. Now, Wan’s billion-dollar horror franchise is leaving Netflix very soon. Fans have only a few days left to stream everything.

Nine Saw movies are leaving Netflix in less than a week

According to What’s on Netflix, nine Saw films will leave Netflix on July 19. The films are leaving after their licensing deal expires. Subscribers now have a very limited time to watch them. The list includes Saw (2004) through Saw: The Final Chapter (2010).

It also includes Jigsaw (2017) and Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021). Only Saw X (2023) will remain available on Netflix. The Saw franchise closely follows infamous serial killer John Kramer. He is better known as the terrifying Jigsaw Killer.

Instead of killing his victims, Kramer creates deadly survival games throughout the franchise. James Wan directed the original Saw back in 2004. It was also his feature directorial debut film. Leigh Whannell wrote the screenplay for the hit horror film.

Both stayed executive producers on later franchise installments. Jigsaw (2017) takes place years after John Kramer’s death. However, new murders suddenly resemble the killer’s brutal old methods. Spiral (2021) follows two detectives investigating another terrifying murder spree. The case soon becomes very personal for everyone involved.

According to Box Office Mojo, Saw earned $103 million worldwide. Saw II collected another impressive $147 million worldwide overall. Saw III grossed a huge $164 million, and Saw IV earned another solid $139 million worldwide.

Saw V finished with $113 million, and Saw VI earned $68 million during its global run. Saw: The Final Chapter collected another $136 million worldwide. Jigsaw grossed $102 million, and Spiral added another $40 million to the franchise.

Together, these nine Saw films have grossed more than $1 billion worldwide. While these nine films leave Netflix next week, Saw X (2023) will remain available on the platform. Fans still have a few days left to binge the Saw films before they depart.
