Transformers director Michael Bay is reportedly suing two women who he claims damaged his Bel Air estate. Bay has alleged that the two women were responsible for a car crashing through his Bel Air property, causing significant damage. The first reports of the crash surfaced in 2024 through TMZ.
Michael Bay reportedly sues two women for damaging Bel-Air estate
According to the latest reports by TMZ, Michael Bay, known for big-budget blockbusters like Bad Boys and Transformers, has reportedly sued two women whom he claims caused significant damage to his Bel Air estate in a hit-and-run incident.
According to TMZ, the two women have been identified as Angelica Silver and Shayra LaFuente. They were in a 2016 Cadillac ATS that crashed through Bay’s Bel Air property. At the time of the incident, Bay was not at home and was not even in the state.
Bay reportedly said that he believes Shayra was driving under the influence at an unsafe speed. Angelica, meanwhile, has been named responsible for allowing Shayra to drive in that condition and being an accomplice in the situation.
TMZ also reported the crash when it happened in September 2024. Shayra allegedly drove the car through Bay’s yard and eventually crashed it into a public streetlight, knocking it down. Moreover, Bay allegedly revealed that the police used debris from the car to locate the individuals involved.
In his lawsuit, Bay reportedly claimed that the two women damaged his front gate fence, front gate camera system, irrigation pipes, landscaping, hedges, trees, vegetation, underwood, and front concrete curb. He claimed that he spent $93,000 on repairs. Michael Bay is reportedly suing the women for repair costs and additional damages.
Michael Bay’s last major feature film was Ambulance in 2022. After Ambulance, Bay directed a documentary in 2025 titled We Are Storror.
