Marvel Studios’ marketing for Avengers: Doomsday has kept fans in constant speculation mode, with every teaser fueling new theories. As chatter grows around a possible fifth teaser arriving in theaters this week, new reports suggest Marvel may be taking a different approach. Instead of dropping more short previews, the studio appears to be saving its biggest reveal for a much larger stage.
Will there be a new Avengers: Doomsday teaser 5 this week?
Despite the online buzz, Marvel is not expected to drop a fifth Avengers: Doomsday teaser this week. Industry insider @MyTimeToShineHello stated that Marvel only sent out four teasers to theaters. So, extra mini-previews aren’t likely, at least for now. In an X (formerly Twitter) post, they wrote, “I hear only 4 teasers were sent to theaters for Doomsday so despite the listing don’t expect a 5th and 6th trailers. We’ll see though.”
While plans can always shift, nothing new has been confirmed.
So far, these teasers have been shown in theaters before being released online. One showed Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, riding a motorcycle, thinking about his Captain America suit, and holding a baby. Another teaser spotlighted Thor, with Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder praying to Odin, gearing up for battle, and sharing quiet moments with his daughter, Love. A third tease featured Charles Xavier, Magneto, and Cyclops giving fans plenty to speculate about. The fourth teaser took us to Wakanda and also featured Namor and Ben from The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
With a fifth teaser looking unlikely, all eyes are now on a big, splashy trailer, reportedly to drop during Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026. TrailerTrack reported, saying, “There’s no question whatsoever from what we’re hearing at this point that the AVENGERS DOOMSDAY full trailer will debut during the Super Bowl.”
That said, it seems not everyone agrees. Some fans think Disney will hold the Doomsday trailer for D23 instead, arguing the spotlight should go to The Mandalorian & Grogu.
According to them, Disney won’t want to risk a weak box office return for Star Wars’ big-screen comeback by skipping the Super Bowl stage. Either way, hype is building fast. Notably, Avengers: Doomsday also marks the Russo brothers’ return to the MCU.
