Their split was attributed to the challenges of maintaining a relationship amid demanding work schedules and family responsibilities. Their professional connection dates back to 2016, when they collaborated on The Angry Birds Movie. The pair were first briefly linked in December 2022 and reportedly broke up at the time before reconciling the following year.
New report claims Bill Hader and Ali Wong have parted ways
A source told PEOPLE that Hader and Wong have broken up. Elaborating on the reason for their split, the insider said, “It was too difficult to make the relationship work with Ali’s upcoming stand-up tour and Bill’s various film and TV projects this year.”
The source added that the duo is currently focused on their work and their kids while continuing to support one another. While they have gone their separate ways, the source explained that things between them are “very amicable.” They further noted that the two remain good friends and are still in touch. Neither Hader nor Wong has publicly confirmed the split.
Following their earlier reported breakup, the duo reconnected in April 2023, with Hader hinting at his relationship with Wong during the premiere of Barry season 4. At the time, he revealed that his unnamed girlfriend encouraged him to take a vacation during a conversation with PEOPLE. He said, “Yeah. Yeah. I need to take a vacation. My girlfriend and I were talking, and she brought it up that I haven’t had a vacation in 10 years, so I think I need to go.”
It was later confirmed that the girlfriend in question was Wong. They made their relationship public that same month and were photographed displaying affection during a stroll in Los Angeles. The pair also attended several award shows together, including the Critics Choice Awards and the Golden Globes.
