General Hospital Writers Tease Death of a Major Villain

General Hospital has seen plenty of excitement in the final weeks of 2025, but it seems that there could be even more coming up, including the possible death of a major villain. As per a discussion about the future by the show‘s co-head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, it seems that Valentin could be the character saying goodbye soon.

Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten hint at dark future for Valentin in General Hospital

In a recent discussion with TV Insider, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased various aspects of the future of General Hospital. “All story comes from character — where the characters are now, where we can take them next,” they said.

“We ask ourselves, ‘How can we challenge them? Surprise them? What will touch their hearts, and ours? How can we discover new strengths — and weaknesses? What are the new and unexpected connections? Where are the time-tested relationships we can sustain and deepen?’ We want to tell story that keeps you anticipating — while revealing new facets of the characters we love,” they added.

Speaking about Valentin, the co-creators added, “Carly means to bury Brennan for luring Josslyn into a life of service to the WSB — even if that means getting in deeper with Valentin. Valentin’s bond with Charlotte may be the death of him.”

The recent episodes of General Hospital have teased Valentin’s growing bond with Charlotte. And the co-creators seem to hint that this could lead to the death of the major villain.

Apart from Valentin, Korte and Etten also hinted at the fate of many other characters on the show.

They revealed that Nina will take a stand against Drew, but she will have to bear an unexpected cost for this. Maxie will be back in Port Charles, while Britt and Jason will struggle to deny their mutual attraction. There will also be big developments with Drew, whose shooter will finally be revealed.

So, there is a lot waiting on General Hospital in 2026, and it seems to be an exciting time for the viewers.
