Aside from his relationship with Gio, Rocco learnt another important truth about his paternity. He discovered that he wasn’t born to his biological mother, Lulu Spencer, but to Dr. Britt Westbourne. Britt had stolen his embryo from the hospital.

As a result, Rocco decided to delve deep into the truth and decided to consult Britt’s mother, Liesl Obrecht. He needed information about Britt from her mother following her demise. In his interview with Soap Opera Digest, Finn Carr got candid about Rocco and Liesl’s first interaction on General Hospital.

Carr teased his first meeting with Liesl, stating, “Well, those scenes were really fun. Rocco is really excited to meet her, and it’s pretty funny.” He further added that Rocco, “dresses up a little nicer than he normally does. Instead of his usual relaxed clothing, he puts on a little button-up shirt and instead of messy hair, he has a nice little comb-over to try and impress her a little bit.”

Carr mentioned that Liesl is equally excited to speak to Rocco. “She is just as excited to talk to Rocco, and I know that previously on the show she’s done a lot of crazy stuff, but to Rocco, she’s just a really nice person and through her, he’s able to learn some new stuff about himself.” He was also asked whether Lulu and Dante wouldn’t like Rocco’s decision. To which he replied, “Since he knows Britt is dead, she’s the next best thing, I guess. “

Carr continued, “I think it probably was a hard choice for him, because he doesn’t want to upset other people. But he does it anyway, and it’s pretty crazy, all the stuff that comes after that!”

General Hospital airs on ABC.
