Seth Rollins Interested in WWE Superstar for WrestleMania 40 Clash

With WWE gearing up for the Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia, the men’s Elimination Chamber match will decide WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins’ next challenger at WrestleMania 40. Competing for the chance are Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, LA Knight, Logan Paul, Bobby Lashley, and Kevin Owens. All eyes are on this group of Superstars as they eye for a shot at the title against Seth Rollins. But it seems the Champion himself has his eyes on a specific contender for WrestleMania 40.

During an appearance with Nathan, Nat, and Shaun show, Seth Rollins revealed that Randy Orton is who he’d like to face for his title at WrestleMania 40. He stated, “I want to face Randy. I owe him one. We had a WrestleMania match many moons ago. WrestleMania 31. Nine years later, we’re both in different places in our careers. Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton on the marquee sounds beautiful.”

Orton secured a victory over Rollins at WrestleMania 31, making a potential rematch intriguing. Now, anticipation is building to see if Orton will emerge as the winner of the men’s Elimination Chamber match. Meanwhile, Rollins is slated to appear on The Grayson Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes during the premium live event this weekend, adding another layer of excitement to the buildup for WrestleMania 40.

Seth Rollins was originally set to face CM Punk at WrestleMania 40

Seth Rollins, whose challenger will be determined in the men’s elimination chamber, was originally slated to face CM Punk at WrestleMania 40. WWE even hinted at a potential showdown between Rollins and Punk on an episode of RAW in December.

However, these plans were shelved following the announcement that CM Punk had suffered a torn triceps injury at the Royal Rumble, sidelining him from WrestleMania 40. With Punk out of the picture, speculation is rife about WWE’s plans for Rollins at the grand event. Meanwhile, Rollins has expressed interest in facing Randy Orton. Some fans suspect WWE might have selected Drew McIntyre as Rollins’ next challenger. McIntyre’s significant pinfall victory over Cody Rhodes on Raw suggests WWE might be setting the stage for a Rollins vs. McIntyre showdown at WrestleMania 40.
