Is there an American Auto Season 3 release date?

There is no American Auto Season 3 release date as the series was canceled after two seasons.

In June 2023, NBC announced that American Auto would not be renewed for the third season. Series creator Justin Spitzer took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to explain to the fans what was in store for them in season 3, if it was made, and thank them as well as the cast and crew. “Season 3 of #americanauto was going to show Katherine Hastings and Payne Motors finally finding success and taking the world by storm,” he posted, adding. “I’m so sorry we didn’t get to make those episodes, but I’m immensely proud of the 23 episodes of the show we did put out there.”

Spitzer further wrote, “Thank you so much to our outstanding cast, writers, crew, and fans. Lemme know if anyone wants to buy a Pika.”

The cast includes Ana Gasteyer as Katherine Hastings, Harriet Dyer as Sadie Ryan, Jon Barinholtz as Wesley Payne, Tye White as Jack Fordham, Michael Benjamin Washington as Cyrus Knight, Humphrey Ker as Elliot Chisholm, X Mayo as Dorothy “Dori” Otis, and more.

Why American Auto Season 3 isn’t happening

American Auto Season 3 isn’t coming out because, as mentioned above, NBC canceled the series after two seasons. ComingSoon will provide an update if the circumstances change.

The official synopsis for American Auto reads:

“In the headquarters of a major American automotive company in Detroit, a floundering group of executives at Payne Motors must adapt to the changing times or be sent to the junkyard.”
