Animal movie had a blockbuster opening with $7.6 million on its first day and continued its great run by collecting $7.9 million on day 2. The fever pitch reached its peak on day 3, with a whopping collection of $8.7 million. The 3rd-day box office collection marks an 8.5% increase in its daily box office earnings.

Additionally, Animal also joined the prestigious $42 million club worldwide within its first three days. Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, tweeted, “For the 3-day opening weekend, #Animal grosses a whopping ₹ 360 Crs at the WW Box office.”

The Ranbir Kapoor film has also become a box office juggernaut, breaking records and defying expectations despite receiving mixed to negative reviews. The buzz around Animal is not confined to its numbers alone; it’s also about the audiences’ overwhelming response. On its third day, the film maintained a robust overall occupancy of 79.05% in the Hindi market.

However, the film is not without its share of controversies. While it continues to roar at the box office, the film has faced intense criticism for misogyny, violence, and vulgarity. A section of the audience has voiced their concerns, highlighting the film’s negative impact amidst its overwhelming success.

Animal is currently rolling in theatres and will soon be released on OTT.
