The Old Guard 2 Release Date Rumors: When is it Coming Out?

Ever since the original arrived, The Old Guard 2 release date has been on the minds of many viewers. The film is based on the comic series of the same name. The first film introduced us to a group of centuries-old mercenaries who have been protecting the innocent and shaping the planet’s destiny for 1000s of years. After taking down Steven Merrick, they’re returning for another brutal and action-packed mission led by Andy.

Here’s all of The Old Guard 2 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a The Old Guard 2 release date?

The Old Guard 2’s release date could arrive in mid-2024.

Soon after the first film arrived on Netflix, a sequel was announced with the tease of an entire trilogy. Victoria Mahoney was tapped to direct it, while Greg Rucka returned to write another script. The filming had already been done in 2022, so the upcoming sequel is not affected by the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes.

But Netflix did not announce it as a part of its 2023 release schedule. Instead, the film is confirmed to arrive in 2024, and we could expect it within the first two quarters. This date is an estimation based on the information we have so far. ComingSoon will provide an update to this story once we receive official details.

The first film ended with Andy, aka Sndromache of Scythia, losing her immortality and the return of Quynh. She escaped from captivity after constantly dying and coming to life under the ocean and believes that Andy was responsible for her situation. So, she’d be back to have her revenge upon the leader of the Old Guard, and it’ll be interesting to see whether the two old lovers will be able to hash their beef and rekindle their love for each other.

Where is The Old Guard 2 coming out?
