For fans who want to relive the memory of seeing Sam Neill on the screen, two of the actor’s blockbuster movies are heading to Hulu. The movies collectively made over a billion dollars at the box office.
Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III to hit Hulu very soon
Sam Neill’s iconic movies, Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, are coming to Hulu on August 1, 2026, as per their new release schedule.
Notably, the Jurassic Park movies are among the biggest in the dinosaur genre and cemented Neill as a global household name following his role as paleontologist Dr. Alan Grant. The first Jurassic Park movie was released in June 1993 and was directed by A-list director Steven Spielberg. It featured Neill alongside Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Richard Attenborough, and more.
Furthermore, the 1993 movie grossed $1.1 billion at the box office. This was a result of its initial and multiple re-releases. At the domestic box office, it made around $407 million, and internationally it earned close to $697 million. On Rotten Tomatoes, Jurassic Park (1993) got a splendid score of 91 percent both on the Tomatometer and the Popcornmeter.
Meanwhile, Jurassic Park III, which was released in July 2001, did average business at the box office. It was directed by Joe Johnston and starred Neill alongside William H. Macy and Téa Leoni, among others. The movie was the first in the franchise not to be directed by Spielberg.
At the box office, the movie had a total collection of $368 million. The domestic box office collection amounted to $181 million, whereas internationally the movie made $187 million. Additionally, it had a lower score than the first one on Rotten Tomatoes. Jurassic Park III got a score of 49 percent on the Tomatometer and 37 percent on the Popcornmeter. The movie completed 25 years in July.
