Jennifer Holland Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Character Gets Set Photos

As Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 debuts in theaters today, Peacemaker star Jennifer Holland took to Instagram to share new behind-the-scenes photos, confirming her character’s name in Marvel Studios’ latest superhero threequel. One of the photos also featured her alongside director and husband James Gunn, whom she has been collaborating with since 2019’s Brightburn and 2021’s The Suicide Squad.

This marks the fourth time that Gunn has enlisted an actor from his DC projects to appear in the latest installment to the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, with the first ones being Chukwudi Iwuji, Daniela Melchior, and Nathan Fillion.

Who’s the Cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is once again written and directed by James Gunn. MCU vets Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel return to reprise their respective roles as Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Kraglin, Nebula, Mantis, Rocket, and Groot, while Maria Bakalova joins on as Cosmo the Spacedog. The sequel also features the introduction of franchise newcomers Will Poulter and Chukwudi Iwuji, who portray the roles of Adam Warlock and High Evolutionary.

“In the film, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days,” reads the synopsis. “Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”

The space-traveling team was last seen in Marvel Studios’ Disney+ special presentation Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which was filmed simultaneously with the upcoming sequel. In the holiday special, Drax and Mantis try to cheer up Peter by throwing him a Christmas party celebration with the appearance of his childhood idol Kevin Bacon.
