The first behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight has surfaced online (via the Budapest Reporter), confirming that production on the upcoming MCU series has already begun in Budapest, Hungary. The set photo, which you can check out below, features our first glimpse at Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke in his villain character’s costume, which is being described by the outlet’s source as a brown suit with a walking cane.

As of now, Marvel Studios has three Disney+ series currently in production, including She-Hulk and Moon Knight, with Ms. Marvel most likely set to wrapped up its filming soon, just in time for its expected late 2021 release.

Created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin in 1975 for “Werewolf by Night” #32, Moon Knight is the alter ego of Marc Spector, a Jewish-American rabbi’s son who grew up to become a heavyweight boxer and then a U.S. Marine. Set to debut in 2022, the six-episode series will be led by Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac in the titular role of Marc Spector. Isaac is no stranger to Marvel films as he previously starred in Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse and lend his voice in Sony’s Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Joining him are May Calamawy (Ramy) and Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke as the villain. Hawke previously revealed that the reason he accepted to become part of the high-profile project was due to the opportunity of being able to work with Isaac.

Written and developed by The Umbrella Academy‘s Jeremy Slater, Moon Knight is set to be directed by Egyptian filmmaker Mohamed Diab and Synchronic duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.

Spector is a mercenary with numerous alter egos such as cabbie Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant in order to better fight the criminal underworld. Later in the comics, he was established as a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu after being left for dead on a mission in Egypt. Most recently, he was a consultant who dresses in all-white and goes by the name Mr. Knight.
