Osgood Perkins to Direct Supernatural Thriller Incident at Fort Bragg for Lionsgate

According to JoBlo, writer-director Osgood Perkins has been tapped by Lionsgate to direct the supernatural thriller Incident at Fort Bragg. The films was sold to the studio by writers Evan Turner and Harrison Query, though their script has since been updated by Jeff Buhler (Midnight Meat Train).

Per the report, the story is inspired by true events and follows “the renowned writer and Irish Catholic priest Malachi Martin, who was brought in by the U.S. government to perform a sanctioned exorcism on a young soldier at the famed Army base.”

The film is produced by Beau Flynn (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and Scott Glassgold. Scott Sheldon will executive produce for FlynnPictureCo, while Meredith Wieck and Aaron Edmons will handle Lionsgate’s share.

Perkins previously directed I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House and The Blackcoat’s Daughter, as well as Gretel & Hansel.
