The official trailer for Lionsgate’s forthcoming action-thriller film titled Primal has been released, featuring our first look at Oscar winner Nicolas Cage as an animal hunter, who must hunt down a white jaguar and a highly-dangerous assassin. The R-Rated film will have its theatrical release in selected theaters and on VOD on November 8.

In Primal, When Frank Walsh (Nicolas Cage), a hunter and collector of rare and exotic animals, bags a priceless white jaguar for a zoo, he figures it’ll be smooth sailing to a big payday. But the ship bearing Frank’s precious cargo has two predators caged in its hold: the cat, and a political assassin being extradited to the U.S. After the assassin breaks free – and then frees the jaguar – Frank feverishly stalks the ship’s cramped corridors in hot pursuit of his prey, right up until the thrilling, unpredictable climax.
The film also stars Famke Janssen (X-Men films, Taken), Kevin Durand (I Am Number Four, Tragedy Girls), LaMonica Garrett (The CW’s Arrowverse), and Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos).

The film is directed by Nick Powell, who is known as a stunt coordinator on films such as The Bourne Identity and Resident Evil. Primal is written by Richard Leder with Wonderfilm Media’s Daniel Grodnik and Michael Becker serving as executive producers.
