James Arnold Taylor and Bella Thorne on Ratchet and Clank

Fans of the iconic PlayStation video game have a throwback treat in store for them with Rachet & Clank, a CG-animated movie based around the title’s unlikely heroes. 

The Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment-produced film is directed by Kevin Munroe and features a fantastic voice cast that includes James Arnold Taylor (original voice of Ratchet), David Kaye (original voice of Clank), Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Rosario Dawson, and Sylvester Stallone.

The film follows Rachet, the last Lombax, who has grown up alone on a backwater planet in space with no family but huge aspirations outside of his life as a mechanic. When he finds Clank, a pint-sized robot with more brains than brawn, they embark on an adventure to save The Galactic Rangers when the evil alien Charimen Drek threatens to take them out. With Clank’s knowledge of Drek’s plans and their successful rescue of the crew, they find themselves enlisted with the Rangers to save the Solana Galaxy from a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets.

Voice talent Bella Thorne (Cora) and James Arnold Taylor (Ratchet) shared with ComingSoon.net their excitement to be a part of the Rachet & Clank feature in anticipation for the movie.

Rachet & Clank is opening in theaters on April 29, 2016.
