Marvel’s Ant-Man may be a diminutive superhero, but he’s hitting Blu-ray in a big way. The Peyton Reed film is available in both 2D and 3D versions December 8 as well as part of the Amazon Exclusive Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Two box set. Other recent big screen releases coming home December 8 include the immensely popular Despicable Me spinoff, Minions, the action franchise reboot The Transporter Refueled and Eli Roth’s twisted home invasion tale, Knock Knock.

The truth is still out there today as December 8 also brings a release that X-Philes have been clamoring for for years. Not only does today see the release of the complete X-Files Collector’s Set as a massive 55-disc collection, but it also brings all nine individual seasons of the acclaimed show to Blu-ray for the first time ever. The set even includes a room to house the upcoming revival series, which premieres on FOX January 24, 2016.

December 8 also brings the third and final (for now) season of Bryan Fuller‘s acclaimed Thomas Harris adaptation, Hannibal, as well as the third and final season of Stephen King‘s Under the Dome and the 13th season of Seth MacFarlane‘s Family Guy.

Shout! Factory has some fun cult classics this week with collectors editions of both the 1987 The Garbage Pail Kids movie as well as exploitation filmmaking legend Bruno Mattei’s 1983 Women’s Prison Massacre. The latter release even boasts a screenplay by Troll 2‘s Claudio Fragasso!

The Criterion Collection makes two new inductions December 8 with both the 1928 Harold Lloyd comedy Speedy as well as Takashi Murakami’s recent feature film directorial debut, Jellyfish Eyes.

Arrow Films, meanwhile, delivers an expansive box set with Kinji Fukasaku’s five-film Yakuza epic Battles without Honor and Humanity. Other classic catalogue titles arriving December 8 include the first ever Blu-ray of Frank Capra’s You Can’t Take it With You and, courtesy of Kino Lorber, F.W. Murnau’s final film, 1931’s Tabu.

Rounding out the week is the Digital HD debut of the recent video game adaptation Hitman: Agent 47.
