Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who is getting ready for Clash at the Castle 2024, once again called out CM Punk after trolling him at WWE headquarters. Recently, Drew McIntyre visited WWE’s headquarters, where he hilariously trolled the former AEW star.
Last month, CM Punk somehow got himself trapped inside WWE headquarters. McIntyre, who was present at the time, decided to seize the opportunity. He posted a video mocking Punk’s predicament. McIntyre is seen stating that he doesn’t know how anyone could get out of headquarters, echoing Punk’s own words when he was trapped. He also took a shot at Punk’s triceps injury by opening the door with ease and saying, “All it took was some triceps strength.”
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been embroiled in a heated rivalry since the beginning of the year. At the WWE Royal Rumble, McIntyre delivered a Future Shock DDT to Punk, which resulted in a triceps injury. This sidelined Punk from WrestleMania 40. However, Punk didn’t miss the opportunity to make his presence felt. He joined the commentary team for McIntyre’s match and, in a shocking turn of events, attacked McIntyre after the match.
Capitalizing on the distraction caused by CM Punk’s attack, Damian Priest swiftly cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. He dethroned Drew McIntyre to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Though denied a rematch, McIntyre eventually secured a title shot from Priest. Their championship clash is set for WWE’s upcoming premium live event, Clash at the Castle 2024, taking place in Scotland next week.
Drew McIntyre’s hilarious antics target CM Punk at WWE headquarters
Drew McIntyre recently took a hilarious dig at CM Punk while at WWE headquarters. In a video he posted, McIntyre can be seen talking to a staff member. He humorously suggested that Punk’s face should be the first thing people see when they walk in the door. The staff member then switched the LED screen image from the Clash at the Castle 2024 promotion to a photo of CM Punk’s crying face.
As McIntyre prepares to battle Damian Priest next week at Clash at the Castle 2024 in Scotland, it will be interesting to see if CM Punk makes a surprise appearance at the show.
