Despite it’s third season not premiering yet, Solar Opposites has already been renewed for a fourth season, with Hulu opting to grant the series an early renewal last year. Since its debut, it has become the streamer’s most-watched Hulu Original comedy premiere of the year, and had also earned massive praise from both critics and fans alike.

Solar Opposites is created and executive produced by Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland and Josh Bycel, who is also serving as showrunner with executive producer Mike McMahan. The series is produced by 20th Television Animation.

“The series centers around a team of four aliens who have escaped their exploding homeworld, only to crash land into a move-in-ready home in suburban America,” reads the series’ synopsis. “They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo and Yumyulack only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty, while Terry and Jesse love humans and all their TV, junk food, and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living supercomputer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them, and terraform the Earth.”
