Netflix has finally set the release date for the upcoming second season of the acclaimed comedy-drama Russian Doll, featuring the return of Natasha Lyonne as she reprises her Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated role of Nadia. The series is scheduled to make its return on Wednesday, April 20 with seven new half-hour-long episodes.

Russian Doll is written, and directed by Natasha Lyonne, who co-created the series with Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler. In addition to starring, the Orange Is the New Black alum is also serving as its showrunner and executive producer. Joining Lyonne and Barnett in the second season are Annie Murphy, Carolyn Michelle Smith, and Sharlto Copley.

“Set four years after Nadia and Alan escaped mortality’s time loop together, Season 2 will continue to explore existential thematics through an often humorous and sci-fi lens,” reads the synopsis. “Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations. At first they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out.”
