Raising Dion Season 2 Trailer & Key Art Sets February Premiere

Netflix has dropped the official Raising Dion Season 2 trailer for the upcoming return of the coming-of-age superhero series, which hails from executive producer Michael B. Jordan, who previously appeared in the first season. Season 2 will be available for streaming on Tuesday, February 1.

The video teases Dion’s Biona training as well as the new enemies he and his mom have to face this new season. This includes monsters, another super-powered kid who’s under the control of a dark entity, and much more.

Raising Dion currently stars Alisha Wainwright as Nicole Warren, Ja’Siah Young as Dion Warren, Jason Ritter as Pat Rollins, Jazmyn Simon as Kat, Sammi Haney as Esperanza, Griffin Robert Faulkner as Brayden Mills, Ali Ahn as Suzanne Wu, Gavin Munn as Jonathan King, Rome Flynn as Tevin Wakefield, Aubriana Davis as Janelle Carr, Tracey Bonner as Simone Carr, and Josh Ventura as David Marsh.

“The series follows the story of Nicole and her son Dion after Dion starts to manifest several mysterious, superhero-like abilities,” reads the synopsis. “Two years after defeating the Crooked Man, Season Two follows Dion as he continues honing his powers with the support of his mom and Tevin, his Biona trainer who catches Nicole’s eye. After befriending new student Brayden – a fellow powered kid – a series of alarming events unfold, and Dion learns that danger is still looming. Navigating twists, turns, and surprise visitors, Dion and Nicole must prevail again — not just to save themselves, but the entire city of Atlanta.”

Based on Dennis Liu’s comic book of the same name, Raising Dion is executive produced and written by Carol Barbee, who is also serving as showrunner. Executive Producers are Jordan, Liu, Kenny Goodman, Michael Green, Darren Grant, and MACRO’s Charles D. King, Poppy Hanks, and Marta Fernández.
