Rick and Morty Season 5 Premiere Gets Featurette, Plus Episode 2 Promo

Following the series’ return last Sunday, Adult Swim has dropped a featurette for the fifth season premiere of Rick and Morty, featuring interviews by writer Jeff Loveness (Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania), co-creator Dan Harmon, and more as they take us behind-the-scenes of episode 5.01 titled “Mort Dinner Rick Andre.” They discuss the introduction of Mr. Nimbus and Morty becoming a mythical villain in another dimension called the Hoovy World. In addition, the promo teaser for the upcoming episode 5.02 titled “Mortyplicity,” has been released, teasing Rick’s revelation of making more clones of the family.

Rick and Morty is a half-hour adult animated series that follows a sociopathic genius scientist, Rick, who drags his inherently timid grandson Morty on insanely dangerous adventures across the multiverse. It hails from creators and executive producers Justin Roiland (Solar Opposites) and Dan Harmon (Community).

The titular duo are both voiced by Justin Roiland while the rest of the Smith family are voiced by Sarah Chalke as Beth, Chris Parnell as Jerry, and Spencer Grammer as Summer.

Before the fourth season premiered in 2019, Rick and Morty had secured its long-term run, with the network ordering 70 new episodes for the series that will be spread over an undetermined number of seasons.
