TBS debuts first teaser & premiere date for Miracle Workers season 2
After scoring largely positive reviews from critics and audiences alike early this year, TBS greenlit a second season of the comedy anthology Miracle Workers and the cable network has debuted the first teaser for the follow-up entitled Dark Ages giving the first look at the plot and revealing a January premiere date! The hilarious and duck-filled teaser can be viewed in the player below!
The 10-episode second season will see the return of lead stars Daniel Radcliffe (Now You See Me 2) and Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) in a story about family, friendship and trying to avoid being murdered.
Set in the medieval era, the new season will follow a group of villagers as they try to stay positive in an age of extreme economic inequality, poor healthcare and widespread ignorance. Worse yet, their king is a bumbling ruler who treats his fowl and ducks better than his own subjects.
In addition to Radcliffe and Buscemi, who portrayed a low-level angel and God in the first season, Dark Ages will also see the return of regulars Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers), Karan Soni (Deadpool 2), Jon Bass (Big Time in Hollywood, FL) and Lolly Adefope (Shrill) in new roles.
Miracle Workers first debuted on TBS in February 2019 and was based on Simon Rich’s novel What in God’s Name. In addition to scoring positive reviews, the cable network reports the series ranked as 2019’s No. 1 new cable comedy, reaching over 26 million viewers across linear, VOD and digital platforms.
The series is executive produced by Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video alongside Andrew Singer, Katy Jenson, Rich, Radcliffe and Buscemi. Dark Ages is set for a January 28, 2020 premiere!
