Gillian Anderson is making a comeback to The X-Files. She will be reprising her iconic role of Scully once again albeit for a short period.

In a recent clip, Anderson could be seen playing Dana Scully, a role she has been playing in The X-Files for 11 seasons. This time, however, Anderson’s X-Files return was temporary. The entire skit was done as a promotional stance for the launch of Lego’s latest The X-Files set. In the video, the iconic actress can be spotted investigating the way that ultimately led her to the big reveal of the Lego set.
The actor candidly admitted her doubts about the project’s potential success. In an interaction with Forbes, Anderson pointed out how she thought that the collaboration had gone cold. Thus, when Lego confirmed her participation in the collaboration, the 57-year-old was taken aback.
The latest set from Lego will reportedly contain 1478 pieces with eight minifigures. Interestingly, the character of Anderson’s Scully will also be featured among the eight characters. Speaking about the inclusion of her character in the latest Lego set, the actor said, “Seeing myself in minifigure form is both surreal and oddly delightful – there’s something very charming about being ‘miniaturised.’ The whole set is a brilliant celebration of the ‘X-Files’ which I hope fans enjoy revisiting in this way – I know I can’t wait to put tiny Scully on my shelf.”
The X-Files Lego set will feature a minutely crafted replica of Fox Mulder’s office. It will also include a forest-clearing scene and even a UFO hovering over the sky. The set will also have small details for The X-Files fans, including a The Truth is Out There tile, an X-Files dossier, and an I Want To Believe poster.
The latest drop of Lego will be available to Early Access Members exclusively from August 1, 2026 onwards. Fans can get hold of the Lego set for a retail price of $199.99. For the general public, the item will go on sale from August 4, 2026.
