The newest prequel spin-off to one of Cartoon Network‘s popular TV shows has finally been added to Disney+ and Hulu‘s collections. As of today, all 20 episodes of Cartoon Network Studios’ latest animated series, Adventure Time: Side Quest, are now available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu. Each episode is around 11 minutes long.
What do we know about Disney+ and Hulu’s Adventure Time: Side Quests?
Adventure Time: Side Quests is expected to explore the younger years and early adventures of Finn the Human and Jake the Dog. This marks the latest spin-off of the beloved animated franchise, after Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake. The voice cast includes Sasha Knight as Finn, John DiMaggio as Jake the Dog, Tom Kenny as Ice King, Hynden Walch as Princess Bubblegum, Olivia Olson as Marceline, and Niki Yang as BMO.
“A companion to the beloved original series, the new show follows young hero Finn and his magical dog best friend Jake as they embark on adventures across the fantastical land of Ooo – partying with cloud people and punching evil in the butt along the way,” reads the prequel show’s official synopsis. “Adventure Time captivated audiences with its heartfelt storytelling, playful humour, and richly creative world. Adventure Time: Side Quests builds on the spirit of the early seasons, delivering lighter, self-contained adventures. Designed to introduce a new generation of fans to the land of Ooo, whilst giving existing fans more of what they love, the series brings standalone, silly quests and playful challenges – celebrating the joyful chaos of Finn and Jake’s adventures.”
The series is executive-produced by showrunner Nate Cash. The creative team also consists of story editor Darrick Bachman, art director Nick Cross, and composer Matthew Janszen, along with directors Victor Courtright and Niki Yang. It is produced by Cartoon Network Studios.
