Adult Swim’s popular animated TV show, My Adventures with Superman, returns for its third season this summer and has cast a former Glee star as Superboy.
Who has been cast as Superboy in Adult Swim’s popular Superman TV show?
It’s now been announced that Darren Criss, best known for his performance on Glee, will be voicing Conner Kent, aka Superboy, in the upcoming season. The news comes from Collider, along with a first look at the character.
Criss is no stranger to the world of DC superheroes, having voiced the Man of Steel in 2020’s animated film Superman: Man of Tomorrow. For newcomers, Conner Kent/Superboy was created from Superman and Lex Luthor’s DNA, as a clone. While the character’s origin has evolved over decades, his core Kryptonian and human hybrid heritage has remained the most enduring.
After Kara Zor-El/Supergirl’s introduction in Season 2, Connor Kent marks the third core Superfamily member to join the series. The first look at Conner shows him sporting a similar suit to Superman’s, along with an anime-inspired makeover, as is usual for the series.
“Clark has truly become Superman and made peace with his Kryptonian origins – he’s ready to settle down! But Lois, who has finally become the Planet’s star reporter, is NOT. Jimmy has evolved from freelance photographer to celebrity journalist—but he’s still intimidated by the romantic attentions of the newly arrived Kara Zor‑El, who’s trying to find her place on Earth. In our latest action, comedy, and romance-packed season, this found family will have to confront powerful new enemies that challenge Superman, threaten their future, and test the bonds holding them together. Can our heroes save their tomorrow–before it destroys today?,” reads Season 3’s synopsis.
My Adventures With Superman Season 3 will premiere on June 13, 2026, on Adult Swim and will be available to stream on HBO Max. The series is also getting a spinoff, titled My Adventures with Green Lantern, although it doesn’t have a release date yet.
