CBS is giving the cast of one of its most popular television shows another reunion special, just a few weeks after one aired in November.
What CBS sitcom is getting a new reunion special?
According to a new report from THR, CBS is set to air a second Everybody Loves Raymond special that will be even longer than the reunion special for the series that aired in November. The new special, Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion Part 2, will air on December 22, 2025, and will be an hour-long special that features more moments that didn’t make it into the original reunion special.
This includes clips and outtakes from the series, unaired interviews with people involved with the show, and more. Ray Romano and series creator Phil Rosenthal also filmed new segments for the special, according to THR. The news comes following comments made by Romano after the first special. Speaking to THR, Romano noted that he would’ve liked to see the first special, which was 90 minutes, be a bit longer.
“Some of the compilations we had to cut down, the gag reel had to be cut down,” Romano said. “My wife [Anna] did a half-hour interview, and they showed her for three seconds. My father and [Raymond creator] Phil [Rosenthal]’s father did guest spots together a few times, and they weren’t actors but they were always hysterical. We showed that during the live taping but had to cut it down. But you also don’t want to go too long. We could have used another 10 minutes.”
Everybody Loves Raymond originally premiered in 1996 and was a smash hit for CBS. Alongside Romano, the series also starred Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Madylin Sweeten, Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle, and Monica Horan. During its almost 10-year run, the series won 15 Emmy Awards, and is often cited as one of the greatest sitcoms of all time in TV history.
