What Tyler Perry Netflix TV show has been canceled?
Netflix has announced that Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black has been renewed for a third season. While that’s great news for fans, it will be bittersweet as it will also be the TV show’s final season. That will give it a chance to properly wrap up, though, as they can craft a series finale in its final season rather than it ending unexpectedly.
Along with the renewal, the streamer also announced that the eight episodes in Beauty in Black Season 2, Part 2, will premiere on March 19, 2026.
Taylor Polidore Williams stars as Kimmie, a sex worker struggling to make a better life. Crystle Stewart plays Mallory Bellarie, an entrepreneur who becomes the spokesperson for the powerful Beauty in Black brand. The two women cross paths, resulting in a series of life-altering consequences.
“The ruthless, backstabbing family behind a beauty brand — and an underground trafficking ring — will face a reckoning,” the show’s logline reads. “Kimmie, the once-unassuming sex worker in their employ, becomes an unstoppable force and is now the one calling the shots after inheriting sole ownership of the family business.”
Besides Williams and Stewart, Beauty in Black’s cast stars Amber Reign Smith, Xavier Smalls, Ricco Ross, Julian Horton, Steven G. Norfleet, Richard Lawson, George Middlebrook, Terrell Carter, Shannon Wallace, Charles Malik Whitfield, and Debbi Morgan. The list of guest stars includes Bailey Tippen, Randall J. Bacon, Greg Clarkson, Ace Small, George Middlebrook, Kajanee Smith, Ann Marie Gideon, Brandon Rush, and Larry Herring.

Beauty in Black Season 1 premiered in October 2024 and spent seven weeks ranked in the Top 10. The first eight episodes of Season 2 premiered in September 2025. Stream all episodes on Netflix.
