Suits’ Patrick J. Adams Stars in The Bombing of Pan Am 103 First Photos

Netflix and the BBC have released the first photos of The Bombing of Pan Am 103, the British drama series about the Lockerbie disaster and the quest for justice.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 stars Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Connor Swindells (Sex Education), and Merritt Wever (Severance).

On December 21, 1988, a bomb exploded in the hold of flight Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie. The flight was headed from Heathrow to JFK. The explosion killed 270 people, including 190 Americans and 43 British citizens. It’s the deadliest terror attack in the United Kingdom and the first major act of terrorism against U.S. citizens.

Who is involved in The Bombing Of Pan Am 103 TV show?

The Bombing of Pan Am 103’s ensemble includes Peter Mullan, Tony Curran, Douglas Hodge, Eddie Marsan, Nicholas Gleaves, Lauren Lyle, Andrew Rothney, Phyllis Logan, Cora Bissett, Kevin McKidd, Parker Sawyers, James Harkness, Molly Geddes, Khalid Laith, and Amanda Drew.

“The six-part series follows the untold story of the Scots-US investigation into the attack and the devastating effect it had on the small town and the families who lost loved ones,” the official synopsis reads. “From the initial exhaustive search for evidence on the ground in Scotland, via the US and Malta to the trial at Camp Zeist in 2000, the series leads up to the upcoming new trial in the US. The Bombing of Pan Am 103 also highlights the human impact on the investigators, the families and the Lockerbie community as it sought to rebuild and connect with bereaved families around the world.”

Jonathan Lee wrote the series alongside Gillian Roger Park. Filmmaker Adam Morane-Griffiths developed the project and interviewed several Scottish police authorities and U.S. investigative agencies for his research.

Michael Keillor directs the series, while Julia Stannard produces. Executive producers include Simon Heath, Roderick Seligman, Steve Stark, Stacey Levin, Morane-Griffiths, Curran, Herbert L. Kloiber, Lee, Michael Keillor, and Gaynor Holmes. The co-executive producer is Joe Hill, with Mona Qureshi and Manda Levin leading for Netflix.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 was previously titled Lockerbie. World Productions produces the series in association with MGM Television and Night Train Media.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer before streaming on Netflix globally.
