Gen V Season 2 Gets a Production Update

During a recent interview with Arc Studio, TV writer Thomas Schnauz (The X-Files, Breaking Bad) shared a new Gen V Season 2 update about the production start date for the next installment in Prime Video’s hit college-set spin-off to The Boys.

Schnauz confirmed that Amazon MGM Studios is currently planning to begin the production of Gen V Season 2 in “two or three weeks.” This comes after nearly six months since its series debut on Prime Video.

“I’m working on a show called Gen V which is aired on Amazon. Season one … I did not work on season one,” Schauz on his involvement in Gen V Season 2. “I’m currently helping them with season two with breaking story, and they start shooting not too long up in Canada. They’re gonna start production in probably 2 or 3 weeks.”

Who’s involved in Gen V?

Gen V Season 2 is executive produced by showrunner Michele Fazekas. The spin-off currently stars Jaz Sinclair as Marie, Chance Perdomo as Andre, Lizze Broadway as Emma, Shelley Conn as Dean Shetty, Maddie Phillips as Cate, London Thor and Derek Luh as Jordan, Asa Germann as Sam, Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity, and more. Executive producers are Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe, Michaela Starr, and Brant Engelstein.

“Set at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International), Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities,” reads the synopsis. “It’s part college show, part Hunger Games — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”
