X-Men ’97 Creator Beau DeMayo Fired Ahead of Series Debut

In a surprising move, X-Men ’97 creator Beau DeMayo has been fired by Marvel ahead of the series’ Disney+ debut.

Per THR, DeMayo had no comment on the departure. It is said that early last week, DeMayo’s company email was deactivated and cast & crew were told of his firing. No reason was given and DeMayo’s Instagram account was deleted. DeMayo had already completed Season 2 writing duties for the animated show.

DeMayo also wrote on Moon Knight and an earlier script for the Blade movie.
