The Tourist Season 2: Jamie Dornan Heads to Ireland in New Trailer

Jamie Dornan’s Elliot experiences a whole lot of trouble against the beautiful backdrop of Ireland in the new The Tourist Season 2 action-packed trailer. Set to return in January, the second season will be available to stream in the United States on February 29, 2024. 

Although Max, the show’s original home, abandoned the series once BBC greenlit it for Season 2, Netflix has fortunately picked up the critically acclaimed drama thriller. The first season is now available to watch on the streamer. 

The series follows a Northern Irish man who wakes up one day in an Australian hospital without any idea about who he is or where he came from. Having suffered amnesia due to a car crash, he uses a few clues and some memories he can remember to help him identify who he is and his unknown, troubled past. 

What can we expect from The Tourist Season 2? 

Now taking his journey to Ireland, the second season will see the addition of several new characters, including Detective Ruairi Slater (Conor MacNeill), Niamh Cassidy (Olwen Fouéré), Orla (Nessa Matthews), Frank (Francis Magee), Donal (Diarmaid Murtagh), and Fergal (Mark McKenna).

The synopsis for The Tourist Season 2 reads: “Set against the striking backdrop of Ireland, The Tourist Series 2 sees Elliot (Jamie Dornan) and Helen (Danielle Macdonald) confronted by friends and foes. As they attempt to uncover the secrets of Elliot’s past, they are soon dragged into a longstanding family feud where they face the dangerous consequences of his past actions.”

The Tourist Season 1 starred Danielle Macdonald as Helen Chambers, Greg Larsen as Ethan Krum, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Billy Nixon, Alex Dimitriades as Kosta Panigiris, Genevieve Lemon as Sue, Damon Herriman as Lachlan Rogers, and Alex Andreas as Dimitri Panigiris, among others.
