Luke Valentine Removed From Big Brother Season 25 After Saying N-Word

Just days after the premiere of Big Brother Season 25, one of the contestants has been removed from the series after saying a slur during the broadcast.

What happened on Big Brother?

Luke Valentine, one of the houseguests on this season of the show, was captured saying the n-word on the Paramount+ live feed of the Big Brother house. As a result, CBS has removed him from the series due to violating the house’s code of conduct.

“Luke violated the ‘Big Brother’ code of conduct and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur. He has been removed from the house, CBS told Variety. “His departure will be addressed in Thursday night’s show.”

The moment came during a conversation with other contestants Jared Fields, Cory Wurtenberger, and Hisam Goueli. In the conversation, Valentine mentions that he was hanging out with someone in the “cheese room,” before casually saying the n-word right after. Valentine immediately stopped to try and correct himself, while the others in the room stared on before laughing and saying Valentine has to go to sleep.

Valentine was flustered in the aftermath, then said he should go to bed as well. However, fans quickly took to social media to decry the moment. Many called for Valentine to exit over the slur.

This isn’t the first controversy for the long-running show. Just last season, houseguest Kyle Carpenter was removed from the show after making remarks about race. During Season 22, Memphis Garrett was also removed after allegedly calling someone the n-word.
