Masters of the Universe: Revolution Adds He-Man Vet Meg Foster to Cast

Meg Foster, who appeared in the 1987 cult classic movie Masters of the Universe, is making her way back to the franchise in Netflix‘s Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

Who will Meg Foster play in Masters of the Universe: Revolution?

Having played the part of Evil-Lyn in the live-action Masters of the Universe movie, Foster will now provide the voice of the character Motherboard, who is described as “an ancient sorceress of technology in the fight for the soul of Eternia.”

“My part in Masters of the Universe more than 35 years ago remains one of my most cherished roles,” said Meg Foster. “I am both thrilled and honored to come back into the fold to embody a brilliant, all-new villainous character that adds color to the vibrant storytelling that Kevin Smith and Mattel have brought to life for fans around the world.”

“It’s not often that original and beloved actors return to their legacy franchises, so we are excited for the opportunity to welcome Meg Foster back to Eternia,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager at Mattel Television Fred Soulie. “Her presence in the original live action film left an undeniable impact on fans, so much so that it cemented the film in the pop culture zeitgeist for over 30 years, causing her formidable work as Evil-Lyn to set the stage for Meg to enrapture audiences once again, now as the villainous Motherboard.”

Based on Mattel’s popular toy line of the same name, Masters of the Universe: Revelation is executive produced by Kevin Smith, who also serves as the showrunner. The series is written by Marc Bernadin, Eric Carrasco, Diya Mishra, and Tim Sheridan, with Powerhouse Animation (Castlevania) set as the animation studio for the series.

The Netflix series features an ensemble voice cast led by Chris Wood (Supergirl) as Prince Adam/He-Man, Mark Hamill (Star Wars) as Skeletor, Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Skeletor’s right-hand woman Evil-Lyn, and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Teela.
