Featuring music by BAFTA and Royal Television Society-nominated composer Carly Paradis (Line of Duty, Prime Suspect: 1973), the album will be released digitally on April 22 via Lakeshore Records. The warm notes of the electronic score provide a haunting backdrop to the supernatural thriller. Vocalizations and lyrical samples of Paradis’s past work add to the music’s mysteriousness. “The Rising” is airing on Sky TV in the UK beginning April 22. A U.S. airing is forthcoming.
“Neve Kelly (Clara Rugaard) is dead. Understandably, she’s scared and confused by this new (non) existence, but moreover, when she realizes she has been murdered, she’s furious,” says the synopsis for The Rising. “Determined to find her killer and get justice, she takes advantage of her new supernatural abilities to go where the police can’t and investigate her own death. In doing so, she uncovers deeply buried secrets and is forced to re-examine everything about her life and the people she cared about.”

“We loved ‘Heart Rides On’ as soon as we heard it… it was such a beautiful, ethereal track and we couldn’t wait to try our vocals on it,” said DJ and electronic music producer duo Eli & Fur, who collaborated with Carly on the soundtrack. “On seeing the trailer for The Rising, the incredible imagery and the darkness, it all just felt so aligned creatively with where we want to be as artists, and we’re so honoured to have our vocals on the main titles theme music… we’re very excited about watching it!”
Paradis said, “The score is like a synthesized ghost, perpetually trapped in the morning after the rave. A party of one. I sampled my voice off my solo records to stay stuck in the loop of Neve’s reality.”
The Rising will be available to stream on Sky Go from April 22.
