Gotham Knights Pilot Has Found Its Duela Dent, Carrie Kelley & More

According to Variety, Olivia Rose Keegan (Days of Our Lives), Navia Robinson (Raven’s Home), and Oscar Morgan (Masters of the Air) have been tapped for series regular roles in The CW’s upcoming Gotham Knights pilot, which is expected to begin its production this April. They will be joining previously announced cast members Fallon Smythe and Tyler DiChiara, who are set to play the respective roles of siblings Harper and Cullen Row.

The new cast members’ official character descriptions are listed below:

  • Keegan’s Duela – Described as abrasive, unpredictable, and a little unhinged, this version of Duela Dent is, above all, a survivor. Born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father – the most dangerous man in Gotham – Duela forged herself into a brutal fighter and skilled thief. In the comics, she’s known for using a number of different aliases, most notably as Joker’s Daughter.
  • Robinsons’ Carrie Kelley – is famously known as the first female Robin in the comics. Fearless, idealistic, and plucky as hell, Carrie talked her way into being Batman’s unlikely sidekick. If there’s a burning building or a person in need, she’s the first to rush in. Just as long as she’s home by curfew.
  • Morgan’s Turner Hayes – Despite the murder of his biological parents, Turner remains resilient and driven to live up to his billionaire adoptive father’s name. While charming and soulful, Turner has never quite felt comfortable in this world of wealth and privilege.

The live-action Gotham Knights pilot is written and executive produced by Batwoman writers Natalie Abrams (Supergirl, All American) and Chad Fiveash & James Stoteraux (The Vampire Diaries, Gotham), based on the DC Comics characters that were created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger.

“In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader,” reads the synopsis. “And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.”

The series will be produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Waner Bros. Television. Executive producers include Fiveash, Stoteraux, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden, with Abrams co-executive producing.

It is said to not be a spin-off to the network’s Javicia Leslie-led Arrowverse series, nor will it tie into the upcoming Gotham Knights video game developed by WB Games Montreal.
