Netflix Renews The Cuphead Show for Season 2

Netflix Renews The Cuphead Show for Season 2

The Cuphead Show only just premiered on Netflix on February 18. However, the series is not done as the streaming company has just announced that it is renewing it for Season 2. The Cuphead Show Season 2 will premiere on Netflix sometime this summer.

One of Netflix’s official accounts succinctly tweeted out the news in an all-caps message with a release window that’s just around the corner. Given how long animated shows take to make, this second season was likely well into production by the time this announcement was made publicly. There’s no trailer, set of images, or information regarding this second season, but those details will inevitably come out sometime later this year.

Releasing in the summer would put it around the game’s long-anticipated expansion The Delicious Last Course. This piece of DLC is slated for June 30, which will put it four years after its initial announcement in June 2017. It is adding a whole slew of levels, bosses, and power-ups, as well as new playable character Ms. Chalice, who can also be seen in The Cuphead Show.

The Cuphead Show is yet another one of Netflix’s video game series. The streaming platform has had shows based on The Witcher, Resident Evil, League of Legends, DOTA, and Castlevania, just to name a few. It also has series in the works based on Splinter Cell, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Assassin’s Creed, and Tomb Raider.
