In a brief teaser shared on The Orville’s Twitter account, the third season for the series was given a premiere date of March 10, 2022, as well as seemingly giving it a new name in the form of The Orville: New Horizons. After moving from Fox to Hulu in 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic essentially disrupted all of the show’s production, leaving fans waiting for any updates on what a third season might look like. Thankfully, they don’t have to wait much longer now.
The Orville is a live-action, one-hour space adventure series set 400 years in the future that follows The U.S.S. Orville, a mid-level exploratory spaceship. Its crew, both human and alien, face the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the problems of everyday life.
