Mike Flanagan’s Netflix Series The Midnight Club Sets Director Lineup

As production continues on The Midnight Club, creator Mike Flanagan took to Twitter to reveal the names of filmmakers he has enlisted to helm Netflix’s upcoming series adaptation of Christopher Pike’s YA horror novel of the same name. This includes Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour (Black Box), Axelle Carolyn (Tales of Halloween), Viet Nguyen (Lucifer), Morgan Beggs (Smallville), and Michael Fimognari (To All the Boys: Always and Forever). This project will reunite Carolyn and Beggs with Flanagan, who all worked together on Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, with Carolyn directing one episode while Beggs worked as a first assistant director on three episodes.

The Midnight Club series will mark Flanagan’s latest horror TV adaptation for Netflix, with the first one being 2018’s The Haunting of Hill House and was then followed by last year’s The Haunting of Bly Manor. This project isn’t the only horror series that Flanagan is currently working on for the streamer as he is also in post-production for the Midnight Mass project which is expected to debut sometime this year.

The group makes a pact that whichever of them dies first will contact the others from beyond the grave.
