The Edge of Sleep Series to Star Markiplier, Analeigh Tipton & Eve Harlow

YouTuber Markiplier (Mark Fischbach) is set to lead and executive produce The Edge of Sleep, a TV series based on his podcast of the same name. According to Deadline, the series will be the first major scripted TV venture for Markipiler and his company QCode. FX’s Chosen writers and series creators Jake Emanuel and Willie Block will script and serve as showrunners. The duo worked together and have developed film and TV projects with Rough House, Sacha Baron Cohen and Lord & Miller. Markiplier will reprise his role from the original podcast, and be joined by Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and Eve Harlow (Next).

The Edge of Sleep centers on a night watchman who finishes his shift at work and he is terrified to discover that everyone in the world who went to sleep the previous night has died. Now he and a band of survivors must stay awake and uncover the secret of this global epidemic before they fall asleep. The Edge of Sleep is available on Apple Podcasts and wherever you find your favorite shows.

New Regency (The Revenant) will serve as the studio and independently finance the project. Corey Adams is set to direct all episodes, with filming scheduled to start next month in Kamloops, British Columbia. Executive producers include Block, Emanuel, Adams, Fischbach, New Regency, QCode, Oddfellows and Automatik. QCode is a Los Angeles-based audio production studio that specializes on scripted, narrative stories. Their first hit podcast Blackout was an 8 episode drama that featured Academy Award-winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody). The QCode podcast can be found on all major pod platforms.
