Netflix renews The Kominsky Method for third & final season
It’s been nearly eight months since the second season of the acclaimed dramedy The Kominsky Method returned for its second season on Netflix and now the streaming service has announced it will return for one more hurrah with a third and final season, according to Deadline.
Both comedic and emotional, The Kominsky Method is a half-hour single-camera comedy about an actor and his agent as they continue their journey as two friends tackling life’s inevitable curveballs as they navigate their later years in Los Angeles, a city that, above all else, values youth. Created and produced by 8-time Emmy Award Nominee Chuck Lorre, with Al Higgins and Michael Douglas serving as co-executive produce the series.
“The Kominsky Method has been a true passion project for me and it’s been an incredible experience to see the warm response from both audiences and critics,” Lorre said in a statement. “I’m excited to wrap up the story with this final chapter.”
Along with stars Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin, this season will feature a special appearance from Kathleen Turner, as well as Nancy Travis, Sarah Baker and guest stars including Lisa Edelstein, Emily Osment, Graham Rogers, Ann-Margret, Jay Leno, Patti LaBelle, Ashleigh LaThorpe and more. The second season is also set to feature Jane Seymour (Wedding Crashers) and Paul Reiser (Stranger Things).
